Organization Spotlight

So I was recommended this organization by my mother, who heard about it through a friend. It’s an org that works to bring clean water to people in the varying countries that they work. They have an amazingly dynamic and “sexy” website, with all

sorts of ways to connect it to social networks, and all sorts of plugs to  our consumer, image-based culture. I don’t mean to say that it’s bad in  this way, it’s just really interesting. Take a look at the site to see the  way it’s organized. Personally, to me, it was very attractive, though  something in it felt a little disconnected from the cause, only due the  way it made the whole thing look like something out of Hollywood.  Though I’m not sure why I have this notion that real non-profit and  development work has to look difficult and depressing all the time.

Anyways, please check out the site. I’ve included in this post some  videos and pictures you can find there. It’s a lot of fun!

There is even an article about them by Nicholas Kristoff!
